It was good. I haven't been able to watch many movies recently, but the main character is Haruka, played by Nao, and I completely sympathized with Wakatake Osamu. The setting, in which she faces Bizen ware head-on to fulfill a promise to her late father, is like a manga and has no reality at all. There is little depiction of an office lady, and it's fast-paced as it seems to be crammed into two hours. It's a work by a director I don't know, Suetsugu Shigeto. I thought he didn't seem like a film director, so maybe he's more of a creator. I'd like to see his future works. And then there's Bizen ware. I've always been interested in pottery. Of course, it's a movie, so the teeing up of Bizen ware is amazing, but it still piqued my interest. [Six Ancient Kilns] There are various pottery production areas in Japan, but the six kilns are Seto, Tokoname, Echizen, Shigaraki, Tamba, and Bizen, and are known as the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan. They have continued from the Middle Ages (late Heian period to the Azuchi-Momoyama period) to the present day and are very deep. I would like to try each of the pottery someday. World Heritage sites are great, but as a Japanese person, I want to cherish Japanese Heritage sites, right? Definitely.
